Melody is the Executive Vice President of NiSource, and Group President, of NiSource Utilities, responsible for leading the company's six-state gas and electric business. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Strayer University. She completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School, and in 2016, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Terre Haute, Ind.
